Hard to Say Goodbye

.
.
I have lived in my current home for about 5 years now and when we moved here I had some tall ceilings to conquer. Bare spaces that needed filling but large spaces, so not just anything would do.
.
When I found this massive clock, I couldn't have been happier.

I took this picture on New Year's Eve to show my Zoe, who tried with all her heart to see the New Year come in and just barely missed it.

Photobucket .
That massive clock (that I loved) passed on a few days ago.
.
We tried to bring our beloved clock back.
.
We bought a new motor and all.
.
But in the end, it lost the battle, passing on at the young age of 5. It's poor ticker couldn't give us anymore.
.
I find myself looking at the empty space quite often. There is an empty space in my heart and on the wall with the most beautiful dust ring in the shape of the clock, where it once was. I just... I can't remove it. Not yet. .
.
One can't just run off and replace a clock. One has to wait until they are ready to take in a new one.
.
Especially true since I priced massive clocks the other day.

I am looking for a massive clock too...and I am NOT willing to pay the massive price tag that goes along with it. Good luck on your hunt!

Don't get a new one. Then you'll have a good excuse to be late.
