Oh Heavens, Help Me

I longed for summer. I've been telling everyone willing to listen that I love summer because I love having my children home. I've sounded like a wonderful mother, right? Since I love to have my kids home?

.

But then last night I had Rae in the bathtub fully clothed and Nolan trying to get her out. They were fighting over who gets to shower first. This went on for about an hour. An hour!

I was so sure that me bringing a camera to the fight would end things quick.

Instead Nolan tried to say embarassing things about me thinking then I wouldn't post it.

I'll blog about the year I failed PE another day.

And then last night, after I made fruit smoothies, Naomi seemed surprised that I made them and Zoe said, "What did you think, you got it from Sonic?" And it was apparently THE most hilarious thing ever said.

And she repeated it about 100 times.

.

I went to bed last night wondering- Who are these kids in my house and why did I want them home all day every day for a couple of months?

.

No really- Does anyone have the answer to that?

Its funny -I feel the same exact way! I'm like okay 3 more days of school left I get to have my boys home all day long....then I'm thinking okay these boys fight all afternoon, they wake me up at 6 am on SATURDAYS (sure they will do that during summer vaca) -am I sure I should be so excited.

Mary R- yep, there is never a 100% good thing, always a slight downer. :)

Queen- yeah right you are!! haha

Ma- No, I am sure summer vacation will be over in the blink of an eye. It's just my typical getting excited about something and then being slightly disappointed when I realize it's not ALL fun, there is still work. :)

Oh Lo, they even fight cute and sweet and logically and reasonably. What are you griping about, girlfriend?

AniC- but did you know it would come a whole week after school let out?

Crash- Listen, you didn't see the whole thing. I had to edit out the worst. The part where I forgot that with the mirror I was recording myself in my bathrobe and curlers. mwahaha!!

I have to admit it; I too have had moments recently where I have been my rethinking of wanting all the cuties home. The whining and fights over the small things are making me a little nuts!
