.
Today is the day that Naomi and Zoe finally get to see The Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
;
And do you have any idea how very badly Naomi wanted me to drop her off in LA to try out for some part in the movie?
.
And she wasn't kidding. She wants to be in the movies, ya'll!!
.
Zoe and Naomi will be watching that movie with my friend and her son, while Rae and my friends daughter and I will be watching The Last Song. As much as that guy bugs me , The Last Song was a sweet father/daughter story.
.
Although I am truly creeped out that he wrote is specifically so Miley Cyrus could play the role of the girl in the story, to be that one role that makes us take her seriously.
.
Isn't that a bit odd?
.
But I'll try to forget that and enjoy the movie.
.
But now that I've blogged about it, it's bugging me again. That, and the fact that I am going to be watching Miley Cyrus in a movie.
.
It is weird, isn't it?
.
By the way, if you see the movie, it's filmed on the beach that Gary and I go to when the kids are in school. Which reminds me, we are due for another beach date, he and I.

Oh what a fun day.
That is way weird. I did not know that. I have been excited to see that movie.
But that is weird.
And oooh, I HATED that wimpy kid diary. Don't tell Naomi and Zoe. I really HATED it.
I didn't see the movie. I just HATED the book. I only read one. And I had a bad attitude maybe, with my English teacher eyeballs and all, but I HATED it.
yeah, that's all I wanted to say.
Have fun! ;)
Wow, really?? HATE?? That bad?? It looks like it could be gross in a burping sort of way, but my girls have LOVED the books. I got book 3 for Zoe's Easter basket. :-O Bad move??? I need to hear more! Is it only b/c of the writing??
The Last Song is a sweet story, but poorly (boring) written. I think Miley's character was described as, "She was thin, had a purple streak in her hair and a noe ring." Wow. Nice description. :)
I think I'd rather see the wimpy kid movie than the miley one, the previews just look so cliche and cheesy, and I just can't stand miley, see I won't even capitalize her name.
And it was cliche. And she is a TERRIBLE actor. I thought that maybe she'd do better since this was suppose to be the big role that made people take her seriously. She wasn't. BUT Greg Kinnear...... ahhhhh.... he made up for it. And it is still a sweet father/daughter relationship movie. I appreciated it. (just not her) And I of course love that it was filmed at my beach. :)
That was from me, not my son Nolan. Woops! haha
I'm glad that you went so the rest of humanity can stay home and not waste time on cliche drivel.
Lorinda-
Oh, and I didn't mind at all! I am pretty easy to please when it comes to movies, as long as it's sweet and or funny and clean. And I don't know that I mind a cliche really, if done well. Besides, Greg Kinnear played the dad SO well.
