It's What I Do

I cry when I chop onions. I assume everyone does.
.
But I don't like to waste my tears.....

So I go to Gary and I say something like, "Did you hear the news??!?!"
or
"That really hurt my feelings when you said what you said earlier."
.
.
All dramatic like.
.
With true blue tears streaming down my face.
.
Only the first time did he fall for it though. Now he says-
.
"Been choppin' onions?"
.
But I keep trying.
.
Cause I hate wasting tears.

HAHAH! Sweet!!
I actually have "protective goggles" that I wear when I'm chopping onions.. I call 'em my "onion glasses." =]

Heh. And my husband always comes up to me and asks me not to cry and apologies for all his 'evil ways' (his words, not mine, and typically mean that he hasn't thrown his dirty laundry into the basket). Needless to say, we don't put much stock in random tears around here. (But that is just us...)

That's awesome! Anytime you can get a little sympathy is worth it, and maybe next time he'll chop the onions!

P.S. I heard that if you cut them under water that it won't make you cry.

What a great strategy! I love it. Waste not, want not! You're so efficient it's almost scary!

Love it.
I have heard that you won't cry if you put a wet paper towel under your top lip. I tried it once and I didn't cry but not all onions make you cry so I am not totally convinced yet.
