You Know You've Got a Good Book in Your Hands.....

I found a true blue page turner. Even a nail biter.
I loved this book. I love love love how Khaled Hosseini writes. I don't think I have read any one's writing that grabs me the way his does.

The story tells of two Afghan women, with very different childhoods, whose life's come together in Kabul during Afghanistan's civil war of the 1990's.

A Thousand Splendid Suns has love and suspense, betrayal and sacrifice. And love. Did I say love already?

*sigh*

*This book is not rated G

*although there is love, it is not a love story, not in the romantic sense. But kinda. ;-)

I've read the Kite Runner and loved it. I'll have to pick this one up as well. I didn't see the movie - it always scares me to see the movie of a book I like.

I read the Kite Runner and loved it as well. But this one is EVEN BETTER.

I didn't see the movie either but me reasoning was the visual. I can handle reading it, for the most part, but seeing it would really get to me.
