As I send my children off to school and walk my 1st grader to her class it brings back memories of when I was in 1st grade. I remember the things that haven't changed and the things that no longer exsist.

One thing that exsists no more is the human bulletin board. I remember that any note that needed to get to my mom was pinned to my shirt. I LOVED have notes pinned to my shirt. As the teacher came around pinning the notes, it was most exciting. I showed my mom my message so proudly.
I wonder what ever happened to that idea. Did a kid get poked with a pin and the school banned the pinning? Did parents become offended by their children being used as a message board? Did moms not like holes getting poked in their childrens shirts??

I think scratch-n-sniff stickers and pinning notes to shirts should make a come back. But maybe that's just me.
