Jumbled

Last night I drove a few towns over to speak to a group of teen aged girls and their parents. Nervous! What you see above is the notes for my speech- or as I phrase it, my talk. It took somewhere from 10 to 15 minutes to give the talk. Can you believe that I can get 10-15 minutes out of that small page of a jumbled mess??? Me neither.
.
But it's the only way I know how.
.
For one, if I write much more down, I'll be looking at the paper the whole time. So this way forces me not to read to others.
.
For two, well, I don't know what to tell you about the jumbled mess part.
.
I just hope that my talk wasn't a jumbled mess. But I realize that's very likely.

i only WISH i could talk that long with so few notes! i'd get up there...look down at those notes and think "i wonder what i meant by that?" i'm sure you did great too. you've always had "the gift of gab" ;0) in the very best way!

The part on the paper that reads "our thoughts", I have no idea what I meant by that. haha

And you KNOW it's never been THAT kind of gift of gab that I have.

I used to do it that way, but my memory isn't so good, so I need to write a bit more to remember

I'm the same way - speak alot from a little of nothing. I've got that much of my daddy in me (you never knew him but your mama did, I think - ask her about how long my daddy could speak in church). I can talk for 15 minutes before actually getting to my talk. Maybe that's why I was finally released from stake callings. They probably thought I would eventually run out of something to say and finally figured out I wouldn't so they released me.

FYI,

In my scriptures, if there's a scripture of interest, I will use a red pencil to color the number of the scripture. If I really like it and want to be able to find it easily, I a) red-color the number AND b) highlight the scripture itself with yellow. If I REALLY, REALLY, love it, I a) red-color the number and b) highlight it with yellow AND c) underline it.

I REALLY REALLY LOVE D&C 24:8. (Right along with Isaiah 41:10)

I'll bet your talk was awesome.

I LOVE This because this is exactly how I write talks. I'm am the biggest mess of jumbliah. I can't ever find my place either, once I begin talking.

I bet you did a bang up job. Wish I could have seen ya.

And, btw, I want the SCOOOOP, girlfriend. I'm so plugging into the universe for wittle Zoe.
