Do you love you?
Because I love me. Or so said the lady that rang up my groceries at the beloved Fresh Market.
I bought some pumpkin truffles (I'll get back to that in a minute) that are shaped and colored just like little pumpkins. A (what I believe to be) newer young lady in training was by an older more experienced worker lady watching her ring up my groceries. The younger lady said, "Is that candy? They look real." Then the older lady said, "MM-Hmmmm, that's what you buy when you love someone because that's some expensive candy!" To which I said, "I must love myself then, because they are for me." She went on to tell me that that's okay, I won't know to buy it for someone else unless I've tried it myself first. :)
So I LOOOOVE Fresh Market! It's so NIIIIIICE!! And I also love Top Chef and you know how they always shop for their ingredients at THE Fresh Market? Well when I shop there I like to think I am just like a Top Chef contender, I even run through the aisles in a big hurry, throwing my ingredients in my cart just like they do.
And back at the truffles.... if you'll remember when I was at THE Fresh Market with my birthday boy Nolan on September 13th of this year, I was VERY tempted to get some Godiva Pumpkin Truffles ( at 13 bucks for 5) when my son informed me how silly it was to spend that much money on 5 peices of candy. So this time he wasn't there. Yet his wise words rang in my ears. So instead I bought 3 pumpkin truffles (by Joe Schmidt) for $8.50..... turns out they were shaped like Pumpkins, they were called Pumpkin Truffles, they were definately a truffle, BUT THEY WEREN'T PUMPKIN FLAVORED!!! So wrong!
